I came to this work after experiencing first hand what is possible through psychotherapy and the difference that  a supportive, trusting relationship with the right therapist can make. I found healing beyond what I thought possible through psychotherapy and I am passionate about bringing that possibility for healing to others.

In 2016 I completed the 3-year academic portion of my training with the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy. TIRP is an accredited school with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and has been training therapists for over 20 years with their comprehensive and rigorous program which includes academic coursework, clinically supervised client work, and mandated personal therapy for all students. I am currently in the final stages of completing my clinical hours towards becoming a Registered Psychotherapist with the CRPO.

I hold an Honours BA in Gender and Women’s Studies and a Certificate in Sexuality Studies, both from York University. My post-secondary education also includes training in the Fine Arts and Creative Writing.

I am committed to personal growth, learning, and professional development and I strive to continually build on my therapeutic skills through individual clinical supervision, peer supervision groups, professional workshops, conferences, and a passion for self-education. I value learning from the diverse experiences of others in my community and feel privileged to have had many opportunities in my life to listen to people share their stories.

I am a member of the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy and am governed by their Code of Ethics
