I came to this work after many years as a client, experiencing first-hand the transformative healing and personal growth that is possible through a supportive, trusting relationship with a therapist.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and I hold a Dimploma from the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy. TIRP is an accredited school with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and has been training Psychotherapists for over 20 years. TIRP’s program is academically and experientially rigorous and has a strong emphasis on the importance of Therapists doing their own Psychotherapeutic work. I consider my experience in the client chair to be the most valuable thing I bring to my work with my own Therapy clients. I also have over a decade of relevant clinical experience including a background in sexual and reproductive health counselling with a focus on abortion care, and full-spectrum Doula work, in addition to my private practice work.

I also hold an Honours BA in Gender and Women’s Studies with a Minor in Creative Writing, as well as a Certificate in Sexuality Studies, from York University. My post-secondary education also includes training in the Fine Arts, and I am currently enrolled in the University of British Columbia’s Creative Writing MFA program with a focus on Poetry and Fiction writing. I am passionately interested in the ways creativity intersects with emotional health and wellbeing, and I love supporting clients to connect more deeply to their own creativity.

I am forever in awe of the human capacity for connection and creativity even under the most difficult circumstances. I believe walking in the woods helps most things. I am Neurodivergent (ADHD), a single parent to two young children, devoted friend, avid reader and writer, and passionate music lover.

Like every one of us I am an endless work-in-progress with my own challenges, tender spots, and growing edges. I strive to maintain personal growth and continue to build on my therapeutic skills through ongoing work with my own therapist, clinical and peer supervision, professional workshops, and self-education.

In addition to registration with CRPO as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), I am a member of the Ontario Society of Registered Psychotherapists and the Canadian Association for Psychodynamic Therapy.
